Image crafted on canvas with a gold background on engraved wood. The figure comes with a free stand. Saint Dionysios Patron and Protector of Zakynthos, Saint Dionysios is one of the most popular saints of Orthodoxy. He went into solitary formation already at the age of 20, taking the name Daniel. Two years later he became abbot of the Strophadon Monastery in Zakynthos and a year later he became a priest. In 1577 he was consecrated Bishop of Aegina, with important charitable work. Twenty-two years later, he resigned with failing health and returned to Zakynthos. He died at the age of 75, while three years after his burial in the church of Saint Georgios Strofados where he was buried, it was found that his remains were intact. This is how it remains to this day and is exhibited in the temple of the saint in Zakynthos.
