Saint Nikolaos Saint Nicholas was the only son of a rich, religious family in Lycia. After the death of his parents he distributed all his wealth to the poor. He was elected archbishop of Myron of Lycia, where he served his flock like a true shepherd. During the reign of Diocletian and Maximilian, he taught the people the power of the Lord. He saved three people from death, twice. Kind, honest, fair, he was a real Angel for people. He left the world in 343 AD. on December 6. The original image of the 15th c. is located in the Holy Monastery of Gonia, Kissamos, Crete.
