Saint Saturday Saint Savvas from Cappadocia from a very young age dedicated his life, with maturity and with the gift of wonder, to monastic life. As early as 18 years he was found in Jerusalem and from there in the desert of the East, in a commune run by Saint Theoctestus. His serious character, his unspoiled ethos, and the gift of miracles with which God had honored him, he was shown as a venerable holy man, who enlisted all his life in the service of the poor and the weak. He left earthly life in 534 C.E. His remains, 50 years after his burial, had remained incorruptible. He was preserved in his Monastery, then transferred to Constantinople, transferred to Venice and in 1965 AD, returned to the Patriarchate of Jerusalem, at the initiative of Patriarch Benedict. Part of the Holy Lisboon is located in I.M. Vato-child. His memory is celebrated on December 5.
