Handmade & Brands Policy

Eligible for Handmade

• Items physically made, assembled, altered or finished by the seller or its disclosed small workshop.
• Original designs produced with a disclosed production partner where the seller has a real creative and supervisory role.
• Vintage goods, craft supplies and finished products sourced for resale belong in Brands unless made or originally designed by the seller under the criteria above.
• Traditional, historical or classic designs independently made by multiple genuine workshops.

Not eligible for Handmade

• Dropshipping or simple resale of finished goods.
• Mass-produced goods represented as handmade, workshop-made or designed by the seller.
• False origin, materials, production method, age, maker or production-partner claims.
• Copying another creator’s protected content, branding or product photographs.

Brands

Brands is the resale section: it includes retailers, resellers and commercial brand collections. A seller selects Handmade or Brands for the whole shop when applying; all listings follow that choice. A collection that combines eligible handmade work with products sourced for resale belongs in Brands. Sellers must identify the actual brand, origin and production role truthfully, hold any required rights to sell the goods and meet the same verification, product-safety, consumer-rights and prohibited-items requirements as every other EmenCraft seller. A Brands label is not an endorsement or a certification. Counterfeit, unsafe and illegal goods remain prohibited.

Evidence and review

EmenCraft may request workspace photographs, process descriptions, source invoices, design files, production-partner details or other proportionate evidence. Evidence is assessed for truthful production, not for design uniqueness.

When resale is found in a Handmade shop, or the collection otherwise does not meet Handmade criteria, EmenCraft moves the entire shop and all its listings to Brands. The shop and seller account are not suspended or closed solely because of this section mismatch. Shop appearance, URLs, products, reviews, existing orders and financial history are preserved. Any separate pre-existing restriction is unaffected by reclassification.

EmenCraft records the reason in Shop settings and the moderation audit and sends the seller an account notification. Sellers can request a review through the Trust Centre. Administrative section changes can only be reversed by EmenCraft after review. Reclassification does not remove the duty to correct inaccurate handmade or origin claims.
