My workshop is established on the holy mountain Parnassus, near Delphi, the ancient secret holy city, considered the center of the earth by the ancient Greeks. I chose "Rafael Santarosa" as the brand name for my jewels, and soon, my friends and customers started calling me Rafael Santarosa. I love the sound of this name and its secret meaning: Rafael is the name of the archangel of healing, and Santa Rosa symbolizes the holy feminine, representing the Greek goddess Aphrodite. It is a hymn to the evolution of female purity of soul, innocence, and passion, reminding us of the fertility, beauty, and abundance that women embody. There is also a second secret in the "Santarosa" name. Santore Santarosa was a hero for the Greek people, an Italian nobleman and minister who gave all his wealth and ultimately his life in the Greek War of Independence. Since 1988, as Rafael Santarosa, I have been crafting unique handmade jewelry. My fine jewelry masterpieces are made from solid sterling silver, sterling silver gold-filled, or solid gold.
