As the Christian hagiography defines, the Almighty Jesus dominates the central dome of all Byzantine temples, while if the temple does not have a dome (trolus), then the icon of Christ is holy inscribed in the center of the temple roof. In this version of the picture, Jesus is consecrated with a strict look but with manifest love that characterizes him, with a golden halo, with his right hand blessing and with the left holding close to his chest the Gospel. The original work, a source of inspiration of the hagiographer, is located in Sifnos, on the sacred rock of Chrysopigi, in the famous monastery of 1650, the Holy Monastery of Virgin Mary Chrysopigi.
