The only sacred relic that refers to the living presence of the Virgin Mary, the Holy Zone, is preserved (part of it) in the Holy Monastery of Vatopedi, Mount Athos. The Holy Zone that the Virgin Mary herself ran from camel hair. After leaving, the Holy Zone was respected by two women, poor and devout, who took care of Theotoko. Emperor Arkadius (395-408 AD) transferred her to Constantinople and deposited her in a reliquary called "Saint Soron". Empress Pulheria, the daughter of Arcadia, built a temple to guard the belt, which she even decorated herself with gold thread. During the years, the zone was cut and parts of it were transferred to various temples of the City. After the fall a single part of the zone arrived at the Holy Monastery of Vatopedi without knowing who or who delivered it. According to tradition, John St. Katakousinos delivered it in 1354, and after resigning his office he became a monk.
