Jesus Christ Kazan In the Monastery of the Virgin Mary of Kazan, in Russia, we find another depiction of the form of Christ as the Almighty. The work was created in the 16th century, in the empire of Ivan IV of the terrible, and is a typical example of the hagiography of Christ of the Russian school, inspired by the first icon of Christ as Pantokrator, the first half of the 6th century, the original icon located in the Monastery of St Catherine, Sinai.
