This 100% Syrah is an international-class generous red wine with full body, which first impresses the nose with intense currant, berries, olive aromas and hints of oak. In the palate the black plum dominates like a king, displaying an extraordinary condensation. It has a silky softness and a welcome splint with a refreshing touch of eucalyptus and vanilla. Despite its high alcohol content, it is easy to drink with a wonderful finish. That's magnificent! Vatopedi Vineyard The vineyards of our Monastery today occupy an area of 70 acres. Wine is part of the monk's diet in festive days and is also offered to the thousands of pilgrims who visit the Monastery annually. At the same time Nama is used in the daily Mass. The vineyards of the Monastery are particularly favoured by environmental conditions. The light, sandy, medium composition and rich in potassium soils, the bouquetes of the unique Athonite nature, are carried with the sea breeze discreetly to the balconies of the vineyards in the adjacent offshore terraces, where through a secret dialogue built in the super thousand-year history of the place, they give the unique characteristics of our wines.
