Saint Christina A pagan daughter of General Urvanos, Saint Christina came from Tire in Syria. Her own father locked her in a tower with idols and subjected her to torture to deny her faith in Christ, who protected her throughout the long course of her martyrdom. When they threw her into the sea, she received baptism from Christ himself and was saved. Her suffering continued even after her father's death. She was brought to court and through her countless tortures and pain many people believed and became Christians themselves (around 200 AD)
