About this item
Christianity Art presents Saint Kyriaki - Silver icon on wood, locally gilded - Mount Athos. Category: Wall reliefs. Materials: Silver, Gold, Wood. The image is crafted on a hagiographic canvas, which has been carefully placed on a wooden surface. This method lends durability but also a sense of luxury to the final result. The frame that surrounds the image is made of silver, with gilded details that highlight its shine and elegance. The image comes with a mounting base at no extra cost, making it easy to mount on surfaces. An ideal choice for a gift, for use in religious places, or for personal collection. Holy Sunday Saint Kyriaki was the daughter of a childless couple, whose pleas to have a child were heard by God. The couple, Dorotheos and Eusevia, gave birth to a child on a Sunday, which is why they named him after the day he was born. During Diocletian's persecutions, Kyriaki's parents were imprisoned, tortured and beheaded. Kyriaki was taken to the ruler of Bithynia Hilarianos. He, dazzled by her beauty, asked her to change her faith and live in wealth. However, she, unshakable by her love for Christ, declared her desire to testify in the name of the Christian faith, because according to her words "beauty is perishable, while the power of faith and the spiritual uplift it brings lasts forever". She was severely tortured and shortly before she was beheaded, the Lord took her to Him. Her memory is commemorated on July 7.
