Saint Luke Syrian in origin with Greek nationality, Osios Luke, also known as Evangelist Luke, was a professional physician and an excellent painter. The first images of the Virgin Mary and the Apostles Peter and Paul have been crafted by him. The apostle Paul taught him the Christian faith and showed him the way of Christian life and since then, he devoted himself completely to the spread of Christianity by preaching the Gospel.
