St. Luke the Doctor St. Luke Simferopole and Crimea, known in the Orthodox Church and as St. Luke the Doctor, was a Russian, born in 1877 on the Crimean peninsula. He was a professor of anatomy and surgery at the University of Tashkent. Prominent doctor, with numerous publications -40 scientific works - and recognition by the medical community. The hardships to which his enemies exposed them were so many, only a miracle could keep him alive.
