The Miracle of St. Nicholas Saint Nikolaos was the only son of a wealthy, religious family in Lycia. After his parents died he distributed all his fortune to the poor. He was elected Archbishop of Myron, Lycia, where he served his flock as a true shepherd. During the empire of Diocletian and Maximilian, he taught people the power of the Lord. Kind, honest, righteous has been a real angel to humans. In the Christian tradition there are many references to miracles of St. Nicholas related to the sea. He is considered the patron of the sailors as well as the Greek navy and port body. All ships of the navy, warships and merchants, have a protector of his image. He left the worlds in 343 C.E. 6 December.
