All our images are blessed by monks of Mount Athos before they reach our customers, thus giving spiritual value to every creation. Due to this careful procedure, the mission can be carried out within 7-15 working days. We also offer the possibility to include a brief personal dedication on the back side of the picture. Our Lady Giatissa. The Wonderful image of Our Lady at a young age with Christ as an infant in her arms, Our Lady Giatissa, took her name from the multitude of miracles to countless believers who gave them their health. The image came to Loutraki from Jerusalem in 1928 AD, from a woman named Maria, a gift to a friend of hers Maria Sokou. Maria, who in the profession was a midwife, went every summer to Loutraki for healing water and was accommodated at the home of her friend Maria Sokou. In 1928 C.E. She visited the Holy Land to worship and on her return she brought a gift to her friend Maria Sokou the image of the Virgin Mary at a young age with the Divine Infant on her left side. The image seller had pointed out to Mary that the man who would take this picture should be godly, watch over her, always have a candle lit and believe her, because that image was miraculous. Maria gave her friend Maria Soku the picture, with the belief that she would take care of her as she deserved. Twenty days later Maria died, as she had predicted and confided in her friend. The image's reputation as a miracle worker did not take long to spread throughout the city of Loutraki and to the His Eminence Metropolitan Corinth, Mr. Plum. For its preservation a small temple was built, in which a multitude of believers flocked to worship it. In time the image’s health miracles became known to every believer and so it was decided to establish a larger temple. On March 10, 1960, the present church was founded on Corinthia Prokopiou, the three-aisled basilica with an eight-sided dome that hosts the pilgrimage of the icon of Virgin Mary Giatissa.
